Every year, the Maryland General Assembly considers proposed legislation that affects the profession of dental hygiene. The Legislative Committee of the MDHA and it's local components actively monitor and lobby relevant issues involving our profession. We are represented in Annapolis by our lobbyist, Barbara Marx Broccato & Associates.

During the Legislative Session, members can check on legislative issues by viewing information on our MDHA link through Barbara Broccato's web site. You can see that the MDHA supports many other organizations with their efforts to pass legislation.
