Janet Weber is a 1978 graduate from the Fones School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Bridgeport, CT where she received her BS degree in Dental Hygiene Education and a minor in Psychology. She received her Masters of Education at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Over the past 33 years, Janet has worked in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, California and now Maryland in both private practice and in dental hygiene education. She is currently the Junior Clinic Coordinator at the University of Maryland Dental School, Division of Dental Hygiene. She lives in Ellicott City with her husband Dave of 26 years. Her daughter Lynsay, 25 lives in neighboring Columbia and her son, JD,20 is a dual major in Music and English at UMD College Park.
Janet is very passionate about dental hygiene and over the years has held various component and state positions within the ADHA. Her hope is to be able to contribute in some way to the continued advancement of dental hygiene. Janet loves company in this desire, so don’t delay and hop on board! The friendships developed over the years through this passion have been amazing! Janet looks forward to working with ALL of you and making new friendships.

Janice Falvo has been practicing dental hygiene for 31 years. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. Prior to receiving her degree, she majored in Nutrition from West Virginia University. She currently works in both a general and pediatric practice. She has had several years of experience in treating periodontal disease.
She also was a clinical instructor at the Baltimore City Community College. This is her first year to serve as an officer for the HCDHA and is very excited about the opportunity to be part of this wonderful organization. She currently resides in Ellicott City with her husband and 2 sons and their German Shepherd, Sole.

Nicki graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 2008 with a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene. She has served as the alumni member of the admissions committee for the Dental Hygiene department of the Dental School at UMB since 2009 and enjoys being an active part in the admissions process.
Nicki currently works in both a general and a family practice and is enjoying the relationships she has formed with her patients in her three years of practice. Although she has shadowed Bonnie for the last year, this is her first year serving as an officer with the HCDHA.
Nicki grew up in rural Southern Maryland and moved to Baltimore in 2006 to attend hygiene school. Nicki has many hobbies, which keep her busy outside the realm of dental hygiene. She enjoys paper crafting, including card making and scrapbooking, and is a consultant for a scrapbooking and stamping company, Close to My Heart.

Michelle Meeker is a 1992 graduate from the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, PA. In 2009, Michelle received her BS degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry, where she will complete her MS degree in the spring 2012 with a concentration in public health.
Michelle is a native of Pennsylvania, working in private practice there and in upstate New York before moving to Maryland 10 years ago. She currently works for a general dentist and as a clinical research study coordinator at the University of Maryland, Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery. Michelle is passionate about access to oral health services for the underserved and supports the advancement of our profession to meet that growing need.
Michelle lives in Ellicott City with her husband Troy and their chocolate lab. She enjoys traveling, spending time with family, gardening, and photography.

Vikki Bostic is a 1987 graduate of the Community College of Baltimore with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She later got a Bachelors of Science Degree in Health Education from Morgan State University. She is currently in the private practice working alongside Dr. Gerald Davidson of Silver Springs, MD. She also practices Dental Hygiene at the University of Maryland Baltimore in their Advanced General Dentistry clinic. After 24 years as a Dental Hygienist and 11 years as a Health Educator, she still enjoys providing preventative dental care education at schools, community centers, group homes and churches in the Washington/Baltimore areas. In 2007, she began MISS FLOSS BOSS, a dental hygiene healthcare education/consultant business in which she provides in-service education to staff at long-term care facilities. Also, in 2010, she traveled to Ethiopia and conducted a dental education clinic for 400 children on the proper care of their teeth. As Membership Chair of the Howard County Hygiene Association my mission is to attract as many members to our component as possible. This is a challenge she welcomes. Vikki loves traveling, bowling and skiing ; activities the entire family enjoys. Vikki has been married to her husband Wil for 21 years and has two children, Wil “J “ (16) and Chanel (15).

Public Health Chair
Maura has been the community service chair for HCDHA since 2007 and just prior to that, she spent two years as our president. Her twenty three year dental career has included positions in management, public health, education and private practice. She enjoys giving CE courses on ethics, reimbursement and celiac disease and is currently pursuing her graduate degree at the University of Maryland. Outside of her professional life Maura is busy with her husband three daughters, son in law, grandson, and pets.
